International Journal of Transgender Health

In 2021, the International Journal of Transgender Health published a special issue on Fertility, reproduction, and body autonomy, edited by Trans Pregnancy Project researchers Sally Hines, Ruth Pearce, Carla Pfeffer, Damien Riggs, and Francis Ray White.

This special issue collected articles from the wider field of research relating to trans people’s reproductive health and parenthood, building on the networking undertaken at the 2020 conference. Topics included family planning, antenatal care, teen pregnancy, birth trauma, adoption and fostering, gamete storage, abortion, menstruation, social work, and birth registration, with contributions from Argentina, Australia, Canada, Sweden, the UK, and the USA.
